High Performance Wheel
DIRECTIONS
To prep the wheel, wash the surface with soap and water, then clean with Rust-Oleum Wax & Tar Remover.
Mask off areas surrounding area to be painted.
Prime the surface before painting. If the wheel cover is plastic, we recommend Rust-Oleum Plastic Primer. For a steel or aluminum wheel, we recommend Rust-Oleum Self-Etching Primer.
To paint, shake the can, then spray in a steady, even, back and forth motion. You should hold the can about 10 to 16 inches from the surface, slightly overlapping on each pass. For best results, you’ll want to keep the can in motion while spraying. For best appearance, we recommend applying one light coat followed by one full coat.
After the full coat, it is best to add a clear coat, which offers added protection and a high-gloss finish to your painted wheels. Apply Rust-Oleum High Performance Wheel Clear Coat to wheels 10 minutes after applying the paint.
Let surface dry completely before driving vehicle.
