| Lightly sand each wooden charger plate with the 320 grit sandpaper. | |

| Wipe both sides of each of the charger plates with the tack cloth. | |

| Dampen clean rag with mineral spirits. Wipe down both sides of the charger plates with mineral spirits. Wipe off mineral spirits again with a clean rag. Allow to dry 30 minutes. | |

| Apply Wood Stain in the color of your choice (we used Dark Walnut) liberally and allow to soak in 5-10 minutes. | |

| After 10 minutes, wipe off stain with a clean rag. | |
|
| Repeat process for both sides of the plate. Allow to dry 24 hours. | |
|
| Apply Polyurethane in the finish of your choice (we used Satin). Two light coats may be applied within an hour. | |
