Wooden Charger Plates
DIRECTIONS
Lightly sand each wooden charger plate with the 320 grit sandpaper.
Wipe both sides of each of the charger plates with the tack cloth.
Dampen clean rag with mineral spirits. Wipe down both sides of the charger plates with mineral spirits. Wipe off mineral spirits again with a clean rag. Allow to dry 30 minutes.
Apply Wood Stain in the color of your choice (we used Dark Walnut) liberally and allow to soak in 5-10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, wipe off stain with a clean rag.
Repeat process for both sides of the plate. Allow to dry 24 hours.
Apply Polyurethane in the finish of your choice (we used Satin). Two light coats may be applied within an hour.
