| Q: What is the difference between a transparent, semi-transparent and solid stain? | |
A: Like paint, stains are usually classified “semi-transparent” or “solid” to describe their level of clarity. For instance, semi-transparent stains allow the natural grain and texture to show through the coating, whereas solid colored stains are more opaque, covering up most or all of the grain and texture.
