Where to Use:
- All Types of Exterior Wood: Pressure-treated or untreated wood, highly resinous softwoods and hardwoods.
- Recommended Species: Pine, Hemlock, Fir, Cedar, Redwood and other softwoods, and North American hardwoods.
- Other Non-wood Applications: Concrete, Brick, Masonry.
- Recommended Projects: Decks, fences, boat docks, boardwalks and walkways, outdoor furniture and décor, gazebos, arbors and trellises, storage sheds, play sets and more.
When to Use:
- Recommended First Application: Following proper surface preparation, apply immediately to newly installed wood, especially pressure-treated varieties. (Refer to PTDS - Surface Preparation).
How to Use:- Application Methods:
- Homeowner: Apply by pump-style sprayer, natural or synthetic bristle brush, or short-nap roller or pad.
- Contractor: For quick application, use airless or HVLP sprayer. For best results, back-brush uneven coverage or puddles.
- Coats required:
- One (1) coat is sufficient. Do not over-apply. Back-brush any puddles.
- Dry Time:
- Touch: 1 hour. Walk-on: 12 hours.
Allow 24 hours before placing furniture, seating or heavy foot traffic.- Coverage Per Gallon:
- Approximately 150-200 sq. ft., depending on wood age and species, surface porosity and method of application.
- Clean Up:
- Wet: Mineral spirits / paint thinner. Dry: Lacquer thinner or paint stripper.
